Facile Treatment
Here
we go again. "There should be greater penalties in respect of patent holders who
make unjustified threats of legal proceedings. "Patent trolls" should not be
allowed to flourish and to hold public and private investors in research and
development to ransom." - Australian academic
Matthew
Rimmer
Rimmer's ABC News smorgasbord op-ed is unremarkable, other than pulling an anti-inventor viper out of the hat in the finale.
Rimmer mentioned a dissertation by James McDonough, now at Fish & Richardson. McDonough called me while at Emory law school to discuss patent trolls. Receiving the Patent Hawk viewpoint turned his head, resulting in his excellent paper.
Wonder who paid Rimmer for the propaganda piece.
